The Forgefix Nyloc Hexagonal Nuts are made from A2 stainless steel and incorporate a nylon component to effectively lock the nut into position on the bolt.
The nylon component has a smaller inside diameter than the actual nut. This locks the nut in place by squeezing the nylon firmly around the bolt when tightened. Unlike a standard locking washer, the Nyloc nut prevents the nut from loosening under vibration as the nylon is tightly wedged into the bolt threads and provides resistance to turning when tightened.
Their hexagonal shape is designed to be driven by a wrench (spanner) and provides excellent torque when done so.
Stainless Steel does not corrode, rust or stain with water as ordinary steel does, but despite the name it is not fully stain-proof, most notably under low oxygen, high salinity, or poor circulation environments. Stainless steel is used where both the properties of steel and resistance to corrosion are required.
APPLICATION:
Where a permanent fastening is required and loosening must be prevented by movement or vibration.
Can be used on most bolt products including HT Bolts, Carriage Bolts, Threaded Rod etc.

When will my order be delivered?
We are committed to getting your order to you as soon as possible.
We use a delivery service that aims to get your orders to you within 4-6 working days. Please allow 1-5 working days for processing on items that are ordered in.
When does your courier deliver?
Our courier will deliver between Monday and Friday.
Will I need to sign for my delivery?
Yes. Upon receipt your delivery will need to be signed for.
What if I'm not in when my order is delivered?
Our courier will return the parcel to their depot and try to deliver it on the next available working day.
Can I track my delivery?
Yes. If you provide us with a mobile number or email when you checkout we will send you information from our courier which allows you to track the progress of your parcel as well as other additional options as stated below.
In-flight delivery options
Our courier will send you a 1-hour delivery window on the day of delivery and you have the option to change this if required at no extra charge or you can also let the courier know that you want the parcel left in a safe place.
How carefully will my order be packaged?
We take extreme care in the packaging of our items and have never received notice of an order arriving damaged. We use bubble wrap or other suitable packaging materials and then put your items in relevant-sized boxes.
What happens if my order is damaged?
If your item is damaged, you must sign it as damaged with the courier and do not accept the package. It will then be returned to us via their depot. We will then send a replacement item out.

Special delivery instructions
If you have any special instructions for delivery, such as directions or where to take your parcel, please include them in the 'special instructions' section at the checkout.
All orders are checked before posting and securely packaged. However, if you wish to return your order to us, you must do so within 30 days of receipt.
The item must be unused, in its original packaging and be suitable for re-sale. This does not affect your statutory rights.
We reserve the right to withhold money if a returned item is damaged or unsaleable.
The delivery charge is non-refundable except in cases where the goods are faulty or in cases where the order was cancelled under the UK Distance Selling Regulations.

Faulty Items
Please note that if you discover a faulty item, we shall endeavour to send out a replacement. All faulty items must be returned to us as soon as possible, and we recommend obtaining proof of postage or using a tracked delivery service.
If we do not receive the faulty items back, you will be charged the full replacement cost.
Please Note: Due to Health & Safety At Work Regulations, we require any used faulty goods to be returned into us in a clean condition before we accept them and issue a refund.
